SUMMER HAS ARRIVED!

And we have reached the halfway point of 2025! Welcome to June, and Summer is showing up in our community. As temperatures rise, you will see us out helping mothers-to-be with our Family Connects nurses, or assisting Medicaid patients via our partnership with Carolina Complete Health. Finally, our outreach program is still going strong through Fourth Friday presence and our partnership with GLOF with the Parenting Workshop called "Tight'n It Up," a Men's focused workshop.

Speaking of Fourth Friday, we had a wonderful turnout this past May! It was a nice day for us to get so many people to show up downtown!

And now with June heating things up, it's time to plan ahead for the summer. June is also the Month of Father's Day! So to celebrate Fathers, Grandfathers, Great Grandfathers, Uncles, Step-Fathers, we showcased them in our community-based partner Greater Life of Fayetteville's latest Workshop, "Tight'n It Up" at The Orange Street School, in celebration of Fatherhood. It was a FANTASTIC TURNOUT!

This was the BIGGEST turnout to date for our collaboration and we could not have been happier to see such a turnout of future leaders, fathers, grandfathers and more. This was a celebration of Fathers and Fathers-to-be as well as a touch of making ways to create a positive attitude not only in men but also in the community as a whole.

As is customary for June (and the focus of the Workshop) we have our tried and true Happy Father's Day sign as a way to show appreciation to fathers, grandfathers, and fathers to be.

Meals and refreshments were available for those who were in attendance.

Finally, to round out this lovely month of June (including all the crazy storms we have been having recently) we will be around town participating in local events and showings throughout town. The best way to know we're here is to check out our Big Red Tent!
